The game at a glance
Design principles
A focused fantasy battle game, built around the decisions made on the tabletop.
Forces with room to maneuver
Roughly 25–60 miniatures per side gives players enough bodies for maneuver, attrition, and combined tactics without requiring an enormous collection. Individual units remain important, while the force as a whole can still feel like an army.
Tactical detail with a purpose
Positioning, command choices, and unit identity are central to the intended experience. The rules aim to deliver the right amount of tactical crunch without burying the player beneath unnecessary rules or turning each turn into an exercise in bookkeeping.
Variety on a shared foundation
A strong, consistent core lets factions, scenarios, and special abilities introduce character and asymmetry. Players should be able to discover what makes a new army different while carrying their understanding of the game into the next battle.
Putting a force together
The army builder presents faction rosters, configurable units and leaders, and divisions. It lets players explore a force’s composition, save it, and print its cards as the game continues to develop.
